Lynn Burkholder
After more than 20 years of working in corporate marketing, half of it at the executive and upper management levels, Lynn Burkholder founded RLB Marketing, LLC in January, 2010. Her company develops strategic marketing plans for its clients and facilitates their execution, when needed. While RLB Marketing works with small and mid-size businesses and organizations from a variety of industries, its niche is hospitality, travel, and entertainment.
Lynn served the hospitality, travel/tourism and entertainment industries for more than ten years. She opened the first gaming and entertainment facility in Central PA, serving as Vice President of Marketing for Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course. She led a team of 36 employees and six external consulting partners, oversaw marketing, player services and entertainment.
Before that, Lynn served as Director of Resorts Marketing for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company. During her more than five years with Hershey, Lynn planned and supervised the execution of marketing activity to drive leisure, business, and group room nights, golf rounds and dining covers for The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge & Convention Center and Hershey Golf Collection. She also supervised Hershey’s call center, directed the company’s data and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives, and worked with Hershey’s Entertainment Group to market the Hershey destination .
Lynn has served as a guest speaker and writer on topics ranging from direct marketing and CRM to delivering an effective marketing ROI for a variety of marketing and trade associations including HSMAI, PACVB, and PTLA.
Julie Payne, CTP, CTIS
Julie serves as a Project Manager, utilizing her experience with internet technology, public relations and media placement to offer creative marketing solutions to RLB Marketing's tourism clients. Julie has been a guest speaker for the National Tour Association, PA Bus Association, the PA Travel and Lodging Association and the PA Dutch CVB. She has a degree in Travel and Tourism from Mansfield University and obtained the Certified Tour Professional designation from the National Tour Association and the Certified Tour Industry Specialist designation from the American Bus Association. Her past career paths have been with AAA and the State Tourism Office. She was a tour operator for 10 years with Rohrer Bus Service where she handled advertising, escorting, sales, accounting, management, special events, creative design and tour planning.
